NCBRT News
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded funding to the LSU National Center for Biomedical Research and Training/Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education (NCBRT/ACE), a founding member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC). This award ensures that first responders across the nation will continue to have access to high-quality, federally supported training designed to prepare them for today’s most pressing threats.
The Louisiana State University National Center for Biomedical Research and Training / Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education (LSU NCBRT/ACE) has been officially recognized as an approved training provider by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission (MPTSC).
At its June 18 meeting, the Louisiana Board of Regents reviewed statewide campus safety assessments led by LSU’s NCBRT/ACE, which will introduce new training modules and a safety management app to bolster preparedness.
DHS/FEMA Training
As a founding member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), LSU NCBRT/ACE serves as a DHS/FEMA training partner and provides certified training to emergency responders under the Homeland Security National Training Program. The NDPC is a partnership of public and private organizations, the majority academic, committed to serving emergency first responders by providing quality, cost-effective counter-terrorism training.
